Skips with Flare?

I recently saw this sign and thought of some of the skips I have seen over the years.

Some of them need to have flares put into them.

Curling in the Desert

Right after all the Canadian major bonspiels, there's the Desert Ice Open Bonspiel, held in Scottsdale, Arizona in late April. The event is sponsored by the Coyotes Curling Club and held at the Alltel Ice Den. Here is the link, courtesy of Ironman at Political Calculations.
